2025 Summer Institute for Union Women – Scholarship and Registration Info

2025 Western Regional Summer Institute for Union Women (SIUW). A comprehensive leadership institute with skills-building workshops, cultural activities and education sessions. Location: Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Dates: June 22-26, 2025. Cost: $940 USD, most participants sponsored by their union or organization. Open to all cis and trans women, non-binary, queer, questioning, and those comfortable in a space that centres our experiences. Register at siuw2025.bcfed.ca. SIUW 2025 Registration Open

Registration is now open for the 2025 West Coast Summer Institute for Union Women (SIUW)! The SIUW is a decades-old summer program that brings together rank and file union members (and new officers and staff) together from up and down the West Coast for learning, skill sharing, strategizing, and strengthening their leadership skills. This year’s SIUW will be held from June 22-26 at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Registrations are currently open – register today to claim your spot!

Registration costs $940 USD per person and is fully inclusive of room and meals for the five-day program. 

Scholarships Available for WA Workers

If any organization does not have the resources to sponsor their member, the LERC and the Washington State Labor Council will both be working together to offer scholarships. You can find that application here – please apply as soon as possible.
