South Sound Labor School 2026

Join workers and union members from around Thurston-Lewis-Mason Counties to learn how to make our unions, communities, and organizations stronger and more effective!

• Who: Rank and file union members, union curious worker, officers, and staff from all unions who want to boost their skills, start a union in their workplace and build community
• Date: Saturdays, Jan 31, May 2, July 25, October 31, 2026, 8:30 – 4:30
• Registration costs: $20 for each day school. Your union may be able to sponsor your registration.
• Food: Coffee, a light breakfast (pastries), a full lunch, and refreshments will be offered throughout the day.
• Location: The Evergreen State College, Evans Hall, 4th Floor

The Saturday series will feature workshops to build your skills as a union member, covering topics including:

• Better Approaches to 1:1 Conversations
• Planning campaigns around grievances
• Participatory and engaging bargaining
• Building workplace organizing networks
• Running Effective New Employee Orientations
• Building bridges across political and culture war divides
• Strategy and Power: Campaign Planningand much more!

The series will also feature panel discussions with movement leaders, community strategy sessions, and chances to socialize with workers from diverse sectors. Come sharpen your skills, build community, and help build the movement!
